Adopt a Black Labrador Retriever (short coat)

Buddy Boy is a wonderfully easy going, mature, 5 year old black lab that is the perfect companion for a settled lifestyle with a family or couple or person looking for a happy companion.  This boy is the definition of “no trouble whatsoever”. Buddy Boy minds his own business and he requires no special attention or help with separation anxiety.  He is past the bothersome stages of chewing everything in sight and he is past the nervous energy that many labs have when younger.  He always has a welcome smile and happy tail wag when you show him even the smallest attention.  He demands nothing of you but will give you everything if you are open to him loving you if you adopt.  We keep telling him ….promising him actually….that one day someone will find him and give him the most spectacular forever home he could dream of.  This handsome boy has thick black fur and melt your heart brown eyes. He doesn’t like the leash but will tolerate it if you insist. We are working on crate and house training but honestly he doesn’t need a crate because he doesn’t wander around the house getting in to trouble.  Buddy  has the birthday of 5/15/11 making him a bit over 5 years old and he weighs around 45 - 50 lbs.  Buddy Boy and his sister Kimi were owner surrenders when the family they were with could no longer keep them. This was a blessing in disguise for these babies. They were in good health but did not receive the love and attention needed. Kimi has been adopted and she has blossomed with her forever family. So if you have time and patience Buddy Boy needs a home too.  He needs someone who will allow him to blossom from a shy dog initially to one that trusts you and the love you have for him.   It will take a little time, patience and love on your part to bring Buddy’s true self out.  But we promise it is there…. just waiting to be unwrapped from deep within.
